CLEVELAND Ohio — The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WATCH for Cuyahoga Lake Geauga and Ashtabula counties

A Winter Weather Advisory for generally 3 to 6-inches of snow accumulating from tonight into Monday is in effect for counties along and north of Interstate-80 - purple-shaded counties on the headlined map. Lows in the upper 20s. The affected areas focus on south central and southwest MI.

The stronger winds will occur during the Monday morning commute and could pose a brief period of significant travel impacts. Areas to be most impacted will be those under the winter storm warning, but especially Berrien and western Cass Counties in MI. Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm are possible by the time the snow ends late Monday night. The lake-effect snow will taper off Tuesday evening.

The NWS says 8 inches of snow is possible. We will see potentially record breaking cold temperatures to start the week, then warmer to finish the week (though still well below normal).
