Netflix has debuted a brand new featurette for this month's third season of The Crown.

Oscar-winner Colman is taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy as the royal drama makes a jump forward in time.

Written by Peter Morgan, The Crown also stars Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as The Duke of Edinburgh, Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Ben Daniels as Lord Snowdon, Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Charles Dance as Lord Mountbatten.

The streaming giant will launch the series opener on a dedicated site for a limited period starting Sunday, making it available to subscribers and non-subscribers alike.

Viewers in the United Kingdom and Ireland will be able to stream for free, making it the first time Netflix has allowed non-members to sample its content in such a way. The third season will launch on the streaming service on Sunday, November 17, 2019.

A spokesperson for Netflix said: "The Crown has become a globally renowned British success story since it first launched on Netflix three years ago". "We desire to provide as many folk as imaginable a flavor of the titanic mutter Netflix is creating right here in the United Kingdom, by providing the principle installment of the fresh series with out signing up".

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV and The Crown is available to stream on Netflix. Of course, only paying customers can go on to watch the full season.

There are three tiers of subscription but all of them give access to the entirety of content on the platform on all devices.

Finally, there's the Premium subscription which costs £11.99 per month and allows people to view four screens at once and HD as well as Ultra HD.

The next series is expected to be out next year with a quicker turnaround with the same cast on board.
