Paul George Will Reportedly Make Clippers Debut on Thursday vs. Pelicans

Paul George will make his Los Angeles Clippers debut during the team's upcoming road trip, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

National Basketball Association insider and Yahoo Sports! writer Chris Haynes broke the news on Tuesday.

George had right shoulder surgery in May and then had his left shoulder operated on in June.

The Clippers acquired the forward in a blockbuster trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder during the offseason, sending Danilo Gallinari, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and five first-round draft picks to the Thunder in exchange.

George's acquisition was essentially a two-part deal for Los Angeles, as it also persuaded Kawhi Leonard to sign with the team in free agency. The 29-year old All Star ranked second in the league with 28 points per game last season to go along with 8.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and a league-best 2.2 steals per game.

Even without the six-time All-Star in the lineup, the Clippers are off to a 7-3 start to the season.
