Boult traded to Mumbai Indians; Rajpoot to join Rajasthan Royals

Two major transfers for the IPL 2020 season were announced on Wednesday - New Zealand pacer Trent Boult's transfer from Delhi Capitals to Mumbai Indians and Ankit Rajpoot's transfer from Kings XI Punjab to Rajasthan Royals.

"We are delighted to have Trent Boult as part of the MI family and are looking forward to the upcoming season". Previously, the Punjab-based out had trade Ravichandran Ashwin to Delhi Capitals with J Suchith heading in the opposite direction. "The right-arm fast bowler who joined KXIP in 2018 has played 23 IPL matches and has 22 wickets", said IPL in a media release.

The left-arm quick has 38 wickets from 33 games at 29.47.

With Delhi's track being spinner friendly, Delhi Capitals have been trying to bolster their spin attack. Things, however, didn't go as planned as he had only five wickets in five games in IPL 2019 at an average of 32.60. Before playing for Kings XI, Rajpoot had plied his trade for Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders since making his IPL debut in 2013.

"Rajpoot put in one of the most memorable bowling performances ever when he claimed 5/14 in a league game in the 2018 season against Sunrisers Hyderabad".

Meanwhile, the IPL trading window which is set to close on November 14.
