Manchester City considering Bayern’s Coman as Sane replacement

Striking a deal could be problematic though as Bayern want Sane to link up with Coman at the Allianz Arena and do not see the City star as a replacement.

Since his move to Manchester, Sane has racked up 134 appearances for the Citizens, in which he has scored 39 and assisted 45.

However, Sane suffered an injury in Manchester City's Community Shield victory back in August, which has forced the winger to miss the start of the Premier League season.

The knee injury was the final nail in the coffin to the Bayern deal, but even before then it looked unlikely as the two clubs could not agree on a fee, with City said to be holding out for £100 million.

Sane has always been linked with a move to Bayern, with former boss Niko Kovac revealing in July that the club were "working very hard" to secure their "dream signing", but a summer transfer never materialised.

Manchester City are reportedly keeping tabs on Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman in case Leroy Sane joins the Bundesliga giants.

While City probably wouldn't be too happy about losing one of their brightest young talents, signing Coman to fill the void would be a pretty solid solution.

The Frenchman has featured 139 times for Bayern across all competitions, scoring 28 and assisting 33.
