Almost four hours after what had been a 7:30 tipoff, Mike D'Antoni couldn't have done a worse job of hiding how he felt as he leaned against the wall adjacent to the visitors' locker room.

After the game, crew chief James Capers explained the referees' thinking with regards to the missed call. But Houston came back, sent it to a second overtime, where the Rockets then held a three-point lead with under two minutes to play.

San Antonio second year player Lonnie Walker had a breakout night, dropping in a team-high 28 points. The exhilarating game, however, was marred with controversy when James Harden's freaky dunk in the fourth quarter was waived off by officials.

As bad as the call was, I'd be shocked if the league changed the call and forced a replay (they certainly are not just going to give the Rockets the win, the end of the game would have played out with differently if the Rockets were ahead).

DeRozan added 23 points, nine assists and five rebounds as the Spurs won their second straight at home and snapped the Rockets' two-game winning streak.

During his recent 60-point game against the Atlanta Hawks, Harden went to the free-throw line 23 times, making 20 of them. The 30-second rule is being used as a cover. "We expect him to score in crunch time and make big plays and that's exactly what he did". Westbrook was 7-of-30 shooting but added 10 assists and 10 rebounds. The referees missed this and needed to prioritize getting the call right.

Capela had 22 points and 21 rebounds, and Austin Rivers and Russell Westbrook added 19 points each for Houston. The Rockets led until the final minute, when San Antonio erased a six-point deficit to force overtime.

Rockets: Harden remained in the game after tweaking his left ankle and tumbling to the court with 5:26 remaining.
