"21 Jump Street" star Richard Grieco was arrested for public intoxication in Texas after trying to drunkenly board an airplane, police say. TMZ claims Grieco, who "reeked of booze", was slurring his speech and yelling at airline employees.

Grieco was taken into custody on the cost of public intoxication and was allegedly unsteady on his ft when he was taken in for reserving. He made it clear that he took the pills to counteract his flying nerves, but airport police said the drug should not be taken with alcohol. Police noted in the arrest report that Klonopin shouldn't be taken with alcohol.

According to the arrest report, obtained by TMZ, Grieco had Klonopin prescribed in his carry-on luggage.

Grieco was reportedly put on a Texas to Pennsylvania flight Friday morning after his release.

It's been 30 years since Grieco starred opposite Johnny Depp in the hit series about undercover officers, 21 Jump Street.

Zack Teperman of ZTPR, Grieco's publicist, echoed the actor's first statement in the matter, telling Fox News, "It's a non-story". It was all an enormous misunderstanding that bought blown approach out of proportion.
