No. 5 Utah lost 37-15 to OR in Friday night's Pac-12 championship, clearing the way for Oklahoma in the playoff conversation. But the much-maligned Oklahoma defense kept the Sooners in the game as the offense fell short of its typical 44 points per game.

If LSU wins, Oklahoma will be the fourth of four undefeated or one-loss teams near the top of the College Football playoff.

For now, all OU can do is sit and wait for the selection committee to announce the decision on Sunday. The same for Baylor, which will be headed to the Sugar Bowl for the first time since the 1956 season if Oklahoma lands in the CFP. The Sooners jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, highlighted by receiver CeeDee Lamb piling up 99 yards receiving. Lynch has 10 1/2 sacks this season and is Baylor's career leader with 19. That quarter, though, saw Bears starting quarterback Charlie Brewer exit with an apparent concussion. Backup Gerry Bohanon came off the bench and did okay at first but wasn't able to move the ball. Zeno threw an 81-yard touchdown pass to Trestan Ebner with 9:41 to play, then drove the Bears for John Mayers' 27-yard field goal with 3:25 remaining. Hurts was 17-of-24 passing for 287 yards and a touchdown but threw an interception and also fumbled. He finished the game with eight carries for 48 yards. The offenses of LSU, Ohio State and Clemson are three of the best in the country and steps ahead of Baylor's.
