The body of London Bridge attacker Usman Khan has been released by the London coroner and flown to Pakistan for burial, according to a new report.

Khan was shot dead by police after killing two Cambridge University graduates on November 29.

A cousin told the outlet that the convicted terrorist would be buried by his parents and family in their home village in Kashmir.

This undated photo provided by West Midlands Police shows Usman Khan.

He injured three other people in his knife rampage before being shot dead, wearing a mock suicide vest, last Friday.

Police continued to appeal for witnesses to the terrorist attack and have so far retrieved more than 80 hours of CCTV footage, through which they are trawling, received more than 500 images and videos from the public and taken nearly 300 statements from witnesses.

The burial would be "low key", the cousin said, adding that the parents didn't want to bury Khan in the United Kingdom because they were "scared".

Residents who knew the Khan family in Cobridge, Stoke were shocked to hear of Khan's attacks in London and many didn't want his burial to take place at their local mosque, despite ties to his family.
