2019 was Pokemon Go's best year ever

2019 was Pokemon Go's best year ever

According to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence figures, 2019 is the best year that Pokémon Go has had in terms of revenue, earning an estimated $894 million from player spending. Before this, the best period for GO was the year of its launch in 2016, when it banked $832 million.

In addition to trade evolution, Pokemon GO's latest update introduces a new array of Pokemon from the Unova region. Rather than being a mandatory requirement for evolving, trade evolution allows Pokemon GO players to save on sweets by evolving certain Pokemon using trading.

The increasing revenues still come as something of a surprise, especially considering Pokemon Go's lower profile in 2019.

Pokemon Go January Community Day will take place on January 19, 2020. Let us know in the poll below.

Japan fans were runner-up for revenue with $286 million (£220m), or 32 per cent of the user spending share. For the revenue, 38% of it came from the United States while Japan had 32% and Germany accounts for 6% of the total. This total is a chunk of the cumulative $3 billion spent on the app so far. 54% of spending was on Google Play, and the rest was on iOS.

There are several Pokemons right now featuring in the game, but after this update, several new ones like Boldore, Gurdurr, Karrablast, Shelmet, and many more will also be lumped in the game. The programmer is supplying a Glalie experience if coaches trade Pokemon. The only months Pokemon Go has seen that were bigger than those were in 2016: $256 million in July 2016, $195 million in August, and $141 million in September. This evolution can be accomplished without any candy creating a new system for players in Pokemon Go to gain stronger Pokemon.

"During the Adventure Sync Hatchathon, you can be rewarded with extra Stardust, Rare Candies, and a Unova Stone if you walk a certain distance". While each one these Pokemon are readily available to be hatched from eggs, captured from the wild or obtained in raids, a number of the new Pokemon will be area exclusive.
