Where gaming at the airport can become a big deal is if your preferred gaming platform, and the one you're traveling with in your bag, is a PlayStation 4.

Most airport travelers with time on their hands will open a book, browse their phone or take a nap.

A man traveling through Portland International Airport apparently had a layover long enough that he made a decision to play some video games.

"I couldn't believe it". The gamer even appeared to be talking on a headset to other players, according to Dietz.

The airport was very quick to react to the incident, and according to Kama Simonds, Port of Portland spokesperson who spoke to KXL Radio and said, "That is obviously something that we don't want to have happened". The man replied to operators and "very politely" asked if he could finish his game, the response was "no". The gamer was not identified, but the game he was playing was described as battle royale game Apex Legends.

The airport officials said no, so it was game over for the passenger, who complied.

Operations supervisors approached the gamer, Simonds said, "and very kindly asked this person to unplug and cease using the monitors at the airport".

What do you think of this amusing story?

The man decided that he would hook his PS4 up to one of the official monitors in the terminal and get his game on.
