Kleyla said there will be light snow Saturday and Sunday during the day, with 4-6 inches of accumulation, before things pick up.

All of the Northern Tier of Pa. was added into the advisory area for 7 p.m. February 12 to 7 a.m. February 13 early Wednesday morning.

Stable air continues pushing in throughout the night, so snow showers will mainly stick to mountains tonight.

Wet snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches.

A map is available on the City's website that details which city streets are designated Emergency Snow Routes as well as those designated by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).

By late afternoon for Indianapolis (3-5 p.m.) a period of snow and rain will fall.

Officials warn drivers, who may be out on Wednesday night and during the Thursday morning commute, to use caution as reduced visibilities and potentially hazardous travel could make an impact, depending on the intensity of the precipitation and when it comes. The National Weather Service says only snow is expected north of Medina. South of I-70, accumulation amounts will be less than an inch.

An arctic surge of cold air will follow the snow which will cause any standing water or snow packed roads to refreeze on Friday. The main freezing rain threat will be during the hours surrounding sunrise on Thursday.

There will be a wintry mix at times into the early overnight hours north of I-287 in NY and the Merritt Parkway in CT, where the overnight low will hover around the freezing mark. Wednesday's high of 36 will be nowhere close to the conditions on Thursday.
