Taysom Hill Says He Expects To Be Viewed Like A Franchise Quarterback

Taysom Hill is not.

It's not the first time such words have been used to describe Hill.

Hill's desire to play quarterback may lead to his departure from New Orleans after three strong seasons with the NFC South organization.

He went on to state the he has thoroughly enjoyed his time in New Orleans, but if the Saints don't see him as a QB1, he'll be moving on to a franchise that does.

While Hill is only a restricted free agent this year (meaning the Saints will have the option to match any contract offers he receives, or keep him around on a low-priced one-year contract tender), he's obviously casting an eye to the future.

"I definitely view myself as a franchise quarterback", Hill told the Associated Press' Rob Maaddi ahead of the Super Bowl. "If New Orleans don't view me that why, well then I have to leave". "As you go into free agency, this is time that you find out how people view you and we haven't gotten into free agency long enough to know how these guys view me and we'll just handle it as it comes".

On Monday, Pro Football Talk's Twitter account ignited the conversation once again by claiming Hill "is a future star in the NFL" and "was the best player on the field for either team in the Saints-Vikings playoff game". Hill's a restricted free agent and thought of his future brings intrigue, because his job description the past few years has been unlike any other in the NFL. So do I want to leave?

"Take a look at Baltimore", Westhoff said when discussing Hill's skill set. You have to find the situation to take care of your family.

Hill, who is entering free agency, threw just six passes for 55 yards during the 2019 season.

Hill, 29, has completed six of 13 passes in his National Football League career for 119 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.
