"On January 31, we reported a confirmed case located in London, Ontario".

Early Wednesday, the Ontario's Ministry of Health announced the infected London woman is returning to her normal activities almost three weeks after she developed symptoms and was put in self-isolation in her home.

Tests conducted by Ontario's public health lab were confirmed by the national lab in Winnipeg.

Across the province, the Ministry of Health's daily tracking data show nine potential coronavirus cases under investigation.

The woman returned to Canada Jan. 23 after visiting the affected region in China. "The case has had two negative tests at least 24 hours apart and is therefore considered to be resolved", Dr. David Williams, the province's Chief Medical Officer of Health, confirmed in a written statement sent out Wednesday. However, the woman developed symptoms the next day and was assessed at the London Health Sciences Centre.

Williams added that the risk of contracting COVID-19, which was named by the World Health Organization on Tuesday, still remains low in the province. Despite that she remained in self-isolation within her home, waiting for provincial health officials to give her a clean bill of health.

Ontario's chief medical officer of health says the province has resolved a case of the novel coronavirus for the first time.

There are now 19 cases under investigation in Ontario, as of February 11.

There are now two other cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus in Ontario, a Toronto couple in their 50s. All of the deaths have happened in China with the exception of one from the Philippines.
