Coppa Italia: Cristiano Ronaldo reacts as Juventus failed to beat Zlatan Ibrahimović’s AC Milan

Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has admitted that his side's Coppa Italia semi-final first leg 1-1 draw against Zlatan Ibrahimović-led AC Milan on Thursday night at San Siro was "tough".

Ronaldo, however, scored a late penalty to rescue Maurizio Sarri's men.

Napoli now have an advantage heading into the second leg of the tie which is scheduled to take place at the beginning of next month.

"As usual, Thank you Inter fans", the club posted.

After a goalless first half, Ante Rebic put Milan ahead on the hour with a well-taken finish.

Samu Castillejo also called Buffon into action seven minutes after the break, with the 42-year-old goalkeeper able to make a comfortable save.

Juventus were gifted a way back into the game with 18 minutes remaining as Hernandez was handed a second yellow card for a late challenge on Paulo Dybala.

Juventus were awarded a penalty in the dying minutes following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review, which showed that a Ronaldo scissor kick had struck the arm of Milan defender Davide Calabria.

Ronaldo stepped up and slammed the ball down the middle to score his 24th goal of the season.

On Wednesday, Napoli struck first blood in their semi-final as Gennaro Gattuso's men downed Serie A leaders Inter Milan 1-0 at the San Siro, with Fabian Ruiz scoring the victor.
