Thiago Alcantara was frustrated by Bayern Munich's display against RB Leipzig as they were held to a 0-0 home draw, while Peter Gulacsi believed the visitors were worthy of a win.

Leipzig, however, have failed to beat Bayern in their last four attempts, with their last victory coming in the 2017/2018 season.

Bayern now leads Leipzig by just one point before Sunday's game.

A lacklustre second-half performance from the defending champions handed Leipzig the initiative, with only awful misses from Marcel Sabitzer and Timo Werner sparring Bayern's blushes. Leipzig center-back Dayot Upamecano brought down Robert Lewandowski in the penalty area but, as Lewandowski stood ready to take the spot-kick, a video review showed he was offside before the foul.

Lewandowski now leads all scorers with 22 goals, closely followed by Werner on 20 strikes for Leipzig this season.

"The good thing is each game depends on us".

That meant Werner failed to score for Leipzig's fourth game in a row in all competitions. The draw ended an eight-game winning run for Bayern in all competitions and extended Leipzig's winless streak to four games.

Earlier, the game between fourth-place Borussia Monchengladbach and Cologne was called off with a storm expected to batter the region.

The game was postponed after talks between both clubs, the league, the police and the fire service. "We were playing at home and we have to win all of the games which we play here", Thiago said.
