The Toro Rosso team has formally completed its rebrand to Alpha Tauri by unveiling its race vehicle for the 2020 Formula One season. Named after the Red Bull-owned clothing brand, the team's status as a B-team entity to the lead Red Bull Formula 1 squad remains, as does the driving staff and the team's technical operations in Bicester and Faenza.

A year ago they were sixth, as drivers Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly each scored a podium, their first top-three finishes since Sebastian Vettel's victory in Italy in 2008. The new white and matte blue livery looks particularly striking. Alpha Tauri have some big plans for their launch which includes a fashion show.

The 2020-spec AT01 will complete its first laps of an F1 circuit on Saturday, when it completes a filming day at the Misano circuit in Italy.

Red Bull renamed the team Toro Rosso, as a nod to its Italian heritage, and it became recognised as the drinks company's junior outfit.

Gasly was demoted from the senior Red Bull team halfway through last season but impressed on his return to his former home. The team's auto will continue to be powered by Honda, which supplies both Red Bull teams.

Although both drivers raced for Toro Rosso in 2017, Kvyat's 15 races and Gasly's five outings - in a season when the team ran six drivers - did not coincide.
