'One rule for black boys and another for white boys' says Corbyn

Labour ruling body release timetable for leadership battle to replace Corbyn

During a heated Commons exchange labour leader Jeremy Corbyn attacked prime minister Boris Johnson suggesting that the government is applying different rules to black and white people.

"This cruel and callous government is trying to mislead the British people into thinking it's exclusively deporting foreign nationals who are guilty of murder, rape and other very serious offences".

"Or, is it one rule for young black boys from the Caribbean and another for white boys from the United States".

Mr Corbyn questioned the Prime Minister: "Is it one rule for young black boys from the Caribbean and another for white boys from the USA?"

But the Labour leader said, "this is clearly not the case".

Taking aim at the Prime Minister, who has reportedly admitted taking cocaine when he was 19, the Labour leader said: "If there was a case of a young white boy, with blonde hair, who later dabbled in class A drugs, and conspired with a friend to beat up a journalist, would he deport that boy?"

Britain's extradition treaty with the U.S. was slammed as "lopsided" by Mr Corbyn, who warned that Washington can request extradition in circumstances where Britain cannot.

Boris Johnson was born in New York City but renounced his American citizenship in 2017. "And it achieved no pharmacological, psychotropical or any other effect on me whatsoever".

Boris Johnson was the target of Jeremy Corbyn's barbs.

The Prime Minister said Mr Corbyn had demeaned himself and "besmirches the reputation of the Windrush generation".

The flight went ahead with just 17 offenders on board.

Speaking at Prime Minister's Questions, Corbyn asked: "Does the prime minister think that someone who came to this country at the age of five and was the victim of county lines grooming and compelled to carry drugs, released five years ago and never re-offended deserves to be deported?"

Campaigners, supported by 150 MPs and peers, point out that numerous offenders came to Britain as children and were detained and deported over one-off offences committed when they were young, for which they had already served prison terms.

Mr Johnson said that the Foreign Office had been told that Ms Sacoolas was in Britain as a "spouse" of "no official role" and that the government was "tirelessly" seeking her extradition.
