David Pastrnak's MVP-like season continued Wednesday night for the Bruins. Patrice Bergeron added an empty-netter and Brad Marchand had two assists as the Bruins won for the seventh time in their past eight games. Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, who had allowed two or fewer goals in seven of his previous 11 starts, had 34 saves.

Pastrnak became the first Bruin to reach 40 goals in a season since Glen Murray scored 44 in 2002-03. He is the first Bruin to register four hat tricks in a season since Phil Esposito and Bobby Orr each did it in 1974-75.

Jacob Markstrom stopped 49 shots for his second shutout of the season as Vancouver blanked visiting Chicago. With his second hat trick against the Habs this season, Pasta again surged into the National Hockey League goal lead, edging Alex Ovechkin and Auston Matthews, both of whom are at 40 on the year. The veteran forward entered Wednesday night with 69 points (23 goals, 46 assists) in 57 games, giving him an excellent chance to finish as a point-per-game (or better) scorer for the fourth consecutive season.

LOS ANGELES - Tyler Toffoli and Austin Wagner scored 39 seconds apart in the second period to give Los Angeles the lead, and the Kings went on to beat Calgary.

Kurtis MacDermid, Jeff Carter and Sean Walker also scored to help the Kings end a five-game losing streak.

Elias Lindholm scored two goals, Mikael Backlund also scored, and David Rittich made 28 saves for Calgary, which was coming off back-to-back 6-2 wins.
